Programme Introduction

1. The Singapore National Employers Federation in support of the of the Tote Board and the Harvard Singapore Foundation, would like to invite our members to a Social Capital Lecture Series on ‘Building Better Partnership Between the Non-Profit and the For-Profit Sector’, with a view to (a) stimulate discussion on emerging social trends and (b) enhance capacity building for the non-profit/ social service sectors. The series aim to bring inspirational thought leaders and practitioners to Singapore to share their experiences and knowledge.

2. This session will comprise a keynote address on the above-titled topic, by Mr Dominic Barton, Managing Director of McKinsey & Company (“McKinsey”).

3. As the private commercial interests trend towards giving back to the community in which they operate, and the non-profit organizations understanding the need in engaging the business world; it is perhaps timely for one and all to investigate the means to forging deeper collaboration between the two worlds. Mr Barton’s insight could potentially inform what new possibilities there may be, in that investigation.
