Programme Introduction

1. The manpower landscape is evolving as the workforce ages and job profiles change. Companies that look ahead and make plans for emerging manpower challenges now will be well-positioned to seize opportunities for the upturn and ensure business survival. The conference provides a platform to exchange ideas and best practices.

2. The Singapore Tripartism Forum (STF) partners (i.e. Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)) are pleased to present the STF Conference on Managing Manpower Challenges on 26 January 2010. At this conference, employers can find out how other countries and businesses are handling an ageing workforce, learn good age management practices and pickup some tips from a local company on becoming CBF – Cheaper, better, faster!

3. At this conference you will also have the opportunity to engage in the panel discussion with the Guest-of-Honour, Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Manpower; Mr Lim Swee Say, Secretary-General of NTUC and Mr Stephen Lee, President of SNEF on re-employment legislation and other manpower challenges.

4. Due to limited space, please fill up the enclosed participation form early and fax it to us at 6733-1644 to confirm your attendance. For more information, you may reach us at Member Relations no: 6827-6955 or mrevent@snef.org.sg.
