Programme Introduction

1. Today’s globalised and inter-connected world is characterised by complexity and uncertainty. Prevailing sporadic acts of terrorism worldwide have transformed the business and commercial landscape. Incorporating safety and security measures into the business plan and corporate strategy has become crucial in ensuring corporate sustainability.

2. While taking pre-emptive and preventive steps against terrorist attacks is important, companies should also be equipped and prepared to muster its remaining resources, in the event of a crisis, to resume its operations as swiftly as possible. Loss of resources after an attack could wreak havoc to a company’s sustainability. Greater corporate resilience begets better corporate sustainability in the aftermath of a terrorist attack.

3. To enhance your organisation’s corporate readiness and resilience in the event of a terror attack, Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) in support of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and the National Security Coordination Secretariat (NSCS) have lined up a panel of government and industry experts to inform and update on current security issues.

4. In addition, you will also benefit from dialogue with senior government officials including Guest-of-Honour Prof S. Jayakumar, Deputy Prime Minister and Co-ordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Law; Assoc. Prof. Ho Peng Kee, Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs and Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry.

5. Network and exchange ideas with the business fraternity to keep abreast of security issues and measures!
