Programme Introduction |
1. The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), in partnership with the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), is pleased to organise a Briefing on Enhanced Construction Safety Orientation and Workplace Health Promotion Programme for our members on Thursday, 30 Aug 2012.
2. With effect from 1 Jan 2013, all workers working in the construction industry are required to be trained in the new 2-day enhanced Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC). At this briefing, the Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC) will be sharing on the background of CSOC, the training requirements, the enhancements made to it as well as the benefits of the enhanced CSOC.
3. The increase in prevalence of health risks and medical ailments amongst the local workforce has also promoted employers to look beyond the safety aspects of a workplace to workplace health. More companies are now looking at the overall health and wellbeing of their employees. Companies are encouraged to establish a Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) programme, which not only addresses the health needs of employees but creates a healthier and more engaged workforce. We will be briefing you on how your company can get started with a WHP programme and obtain funding support.
