SNEF has its own team of industrial Relations (IR) Consultants who are the only external consultants who can represent employers at the Ministry of Manpower in employment matters and negotiation of Collective Agreement (CA). IR/HR Issues are usually classified as follows:
Union Related issues such as collective agreement (CA) and wage increase negotiations. Our IR Consultants will provide advice on industry norms & standards, legal requirements and strategies for negotiations.
Non-Union related issues such as the correct interpretation and implementation of Employment Act, Workmen's compensation Act and various other labour & employment related laws; HR policies and implementation - wage systems, National Wages Council (NWC), foreign worker policies etc.
CA Consultancy
SNEF consultants are equipped with the professional skills and knowledge to represent employers in CA negotiation, even in the Industrial Arbitration Court (IAC). The duration of negotiations for new CA varies from company to company. Some CA negotiations can be concluded within 20 hours while some difficult cases may take more than 80 hours (excluding background and preparatory work that are also chargeable).
The professional fee for members is $70 per hour. Non members do not have access to this subsidised service.
